Dare we get excited?!

On RQ (www.chinaadopttalk.com) this morning...

Not Much November 25th, 2008

While I don’t have anything concrete, as in dates… I am seeing information that means we should hopefully make it to at least the “Spring Small” date from my projections, which means we should (assuming what I’m hearing is correct) make it to at least the 23rd. There is even hope that we’ll make it to the Horrid case of the 27th.

(NOTE TO SELF: Breathe.)

And now I break into song..."All I want for Christmas is a picture of my kid...a picture of my kid...a picture of my kid." In all seriousness, there was never a part of this wait as hard as these last few weeks. The wait grew and grew and grew for 3 years and we went with the flow. But the light at the end of the tunnel is bright enough that we're fully awake now. BRING ON THE KIDDO!

Bring me a paper bag. Please.

The November batch of referrals covered people logged in through 02/17/06. Yes, through 02/17/06.

Yes, 2 days.

So, there are 5 days of log-ins before us. Meaning, China needs to span 6 days of log-ins for us to be included in the December batch. China has averaged 5.9 days of log-ins per month over the past 12 months. Seems like a cruel joke, right? BUT, RQ (http://www.chinaadopttalk.com/) posted her projections today based on the most recent batch and the results of her LID polls. It should be noted that last month her projection in her most conservative column ('Spr 2008 Small') for the November batch was through 02/17/06. She was right on.

So what is she predicting for the December batch that should be here within the next 25-30 days? Well, here's her guess right from the site:

Per RQ's "worst case scenario", we should be in in December. We should see her face within a month.

I have to go breathe into a paper bag now.

Seriously. :)
