Colle's 12th Birthday Party

Ned's super cool cousin Nicolle's 12th birthday is Wednesday and her party was today. (Nicolle is Dan's brother Mike's daughter.) Colle, as Nedy calls her, and her sister Syd are among Ned's favorite peeps to hang with. They are so patient with her and she just loves playing "one of the big kids" with them. The weather was lovely today, so it was a sandbox kind of afternoon. Oh, and I can't forget to mention Ned's first ATV ride... She liked it. A lot. Seriously, God help me.

We stayed late and, I'm proud to say, planned accordingly for the first time in our five month parenting tenure--we brought Ned's toothbrush, a wash cloth, and PJs and got her ready for bed before we left. And the transition from car to bed was so smooth that I am actually doing a same-day blog post... Dear God, we may actually get the hang of this parenting thing yet... ;)
