Our international agency reported that Kamron's "legals" arrived today and were overnighted to our local agency. "Legals" are the legal documents proving a child's availability for adoption. Receipt of this paperwork allows us to file the formal request with USCIS (immigration) to bring him home. Moving right along...

Wow. Seriously, that was lightning fast. I hope you're aiming for the short end of the travel wait! Woo-hoo! :D Have you learned the phone numbers to stalk USCIS yet? The people on the Holt forum had that down to an art form when we were waiting to bring E home.
Hi E! I asked AIAA if this put us more on the 3 month end of things rather than 4 month and they said they couldn't predict. I, too, thought that was pretty quick--as did Special Children--so I am hopeful. Things have changed within CIS and we now deal with the National Benefits Center (NBC) as opposed to the local office. SC is not sure if we need to do the interstate compact or not before completing our I600, so we're waiting on that answer today...
